Low and behold, the Nikon D90, the hottest shit* since well, I dunno, there’s alot hot shit out there right now. But the trend in the DSLR market is still cameras that shoot HD video.

One of my clients, FREESKIER Magazine was lucky enough to be sent a sample of Nikon’s new offering, the D90. I’ll spare you all the technical detials, cause a bunch of other tardos all over the place have written page after page of the same crap describing the cameras features and functionality.

Here’s my two cents: Bummer it shoots to an SD card. Noticed some strange banding, perhapse due to the overhead flourecent lights, but I didn’t notice the same thing happening when I got to play around with my friends newly aquired Canon 5D Mark II. The Final Cut pro three way color correction filter I added accentuates it a bit, but it was noticable without the filter applied as well.

*In summery, its really not the hottest shit out there… but its a neat little toy, so if you like toys get one.
